Matthew King represented the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where he won a gold medal in the men's 4x100-meter freestyle relay

Outside of his athletic career, King has spent his life engaged in hands-on mechanical and fabrication hobbies, ranging from building his own musical instruments to modifying motorcycles.
